A. Lange & Söhne has always done things its own way. Born in Glashütte in 1845, rebuilt from the ground up in 1990, and now sitting firmly at the top table of watchmaking, it represents a very different kind of prestige. Less about noise, more about substance. The kind of watchmaking collectors quietly chase.

This 1815 Flyback Chronograph Boutique Edition is a perfect example of that mindset. Produced in limited numbers and only available through Lange boutiques, it’s not a piece you come across often.

At 39.5mm in white gold, it wears with that understated confidence Lange does so well. Nothing oversized, nothing exaggerated, just precisley judged proportions. The blue dial crafted from solid sterling silver, overlaid with a pulsation scale and twin sub-dials, giving it that unmistakable chronograph character. Detailed, elegant, purposeful. 

Turning over to the calibre L951.5, Lange reminds you why it sits where it does. Hand-wound, flyback functionality, around 60 hours of power reserve and over 300 components working in harmony. But it’s not just what it does, it’s how it looks doing it. German silver plates, hand-finishing, black polished elements… admired with no time lost. 

The flyback complication itself is one of those features that just makes sense. Resetting and restarting the chronograph in one smooth action. Practical, satisfying, and a nod to Lange’s focus on usability as much as presence.

This example is offered in excellent condition, showing minimal signs of wear and remaining unpolished, exactly how collectors like to see them. It comes as a full set, complete with its Lange warranty dated 2022, book pack, and original box.
