The A. Lange & Söhne Odysseus 363.179 took the manufacture somewhere it had never been before. Lange built its reputation around precious metal dress watches and traditional complications; the Odysseus was its first regularly produced stainless steel sports watch, developed from the ground up rather than adapted from an existing collection.

The 40.5mm steel case flows directly into an integrated bracelet, while the blue dial places Lange’s signature large date at three, balanced by the day display at nine and small seconds at six. Inside, the automatic calibre L155.1 DATOMATIC was developed specifically for the collection, offering approximately 50 hours of power reserve.

The 363.179 gave collectors something previously absent from Lange’s catalogue: a steel watch designed for regular wear, with 120 metres of water resistance and the practicality of an automatic movement. Yet the oversized calendar displays, movement architecture and distinctly German approach to design leave no doubt where it came from.

This 2024 Odysseus is presented in unworn condition, offered as a complete set with box, associated book packs and 2024 dated Lange warranty card.
