First introduced in 1953 under Blancpain’s then CEO Jean-Jacques Fiechter, himself an avid diver, the Fifty Fathoms is widely regarded as the original modern dive watch. It established many of the features we now take for granted, including a highly legible dial, a secure unidirectional rotating bezel and genuine professional diving capability. Long before the Submariner became an icon, Blancpain had already defined the blueprint.

More than 70 years later, the Fifty Fathoms remains one of the finest dive watches available. It has never chased mass appeal, which is precisely why it has earned such a loyal following among enthusiasts who value engineering and history over recognisable logos.

Reference 5015-12B40-52A pairs a lightweight titanium case with a rich blue sunburst dial and matching sapphire bezel insert. At 45mm it has real wrist presence, yet the titanium construction keeps it remarkably comfortable to wear, making it a practical choice despite its size.

Powering the watch is Blancpain's in-house Calibre 1315, an automatic movement with an impressive five-day power reserve and a reputation for reliability. Combined with 300 metres of water resistance, it remains every bit the capable tool watch its predecessors were designed to be.

Our 2023 Fifty Fathoms is offered as a full set in excellent condition, with only light signs of wear and remains unpolished. Offered as a full set with its original box and dated warranty card.
