Product Description

Limited to just 100 numbered pieces, the Cartier Santos-Dumont WGSA0050 was created as part of a special presentation set celebrating the pioneering aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont. Its platinum case houses a manually wound calibre 430 MC, maintaining a remarkably slim 7.5mm profile. The caseback is engraved with Santos-Dumont’s experimental flying machine, the Maritime Guide Rope, a direct reference to his aviation exploits. 

The ice-blue dial features a striking guilloché centre with a radiating, wave-like pattern, framed by applied Arabic numerals. A ruby cabochon replaces Cartier’s more familiar sapphire crown, distinguishing this platinum edition. Originally presented in a specially designed lacquered wooden box, the set also included matching Santos de Cartier cufflinks crafted from white gold and hawk’s eye stone.

This 2021 Santos is presented in very good condition, showing only light signs of wear and polishing. Offered as a full set, complete with matching cufflinks, warranty card and Cartier box, it also benefits from the remaining balance of Cartier’s eight-year warranty.
