The Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5167A-001 is the reference that defined the modern Aquanaut. While the collection had already established its identity, it was the arrival of the 5167 in 2007 that refined the formula, introducing larger proportions, a slimmer case and a cleaner dial that continue to shape the Aquanaut range today.

Crafted in stainless steel, the 40.8mm case strikes a balance between sporty presence and everyday comfort. The embossed black dial retains the collection's distinctive tropical pattern, while the matching composite strap reinforces the Aquanaut's relaxed character. Together, they create a sports watch that feels more contemporary than its contemporaries, without compromising the level of finishing expected from Patek Philippe.

Powering the watch is the self-winding Calibre 324 SC, the same movement that would also power the Nautilus 5711. Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, it delivers central seconds, a date display and the precision, reliability and finishing that have made it one of Patek Philippe's most respected automatic movements.

The 5167A-001 remains the benchmark Aquanaut because it refined, rather than reinvented, the collection. Nearly two decades after its introduction, it is still the reference against which every time-only Aquanaut is measured.

This 2022 example is presented in very good condition, showing only lights signs of polishing and wear. Complete with the newer style Patek Philippe clasp, the watch is offered as a full set with warranty paperwork, book pack, and original Patek Philippe box.
