The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph 26240ST.OO.1320ST.08 brings a more contemporary edge to the collection through its green “Grande Tapisserie” dial. Tonal chronograph counters preserve the pattern across the dial, while the 41mm stainless steel case and integrated bracelet provide the contrasting brushed and polished surfaces central to the Royal Oak.
Inside, calibre 4401 gives the 26240ST a flyback chronograph, column wheel control and approximately 70 hours of power reserve. Unlike a conventional chronograph, the flyback function allows the timing hand to be reset and restarted with a single press, giving the complication a practical advantage beyond its technical interest.
The green dial gives this reference a clear identity among the more familiar Royal Oak colourways, but the calibre is equally important to the 26240 generation. Together they make this more than a different dial configuration: it combines one of the collection’s stronger modern colours with AP’s current in house chronograph architecture.
