The Rolex Day Date 40 228239-0033 hides its status better than most Day Dates. Crafted entirely in 18ct white gold, it has a cooler, less overt appearance than yellow or Everose gold, leaving the olive green dial to identify this as something more unusual.

The sunray finished dial is framed by a fluted white gold bezel and the President bracelet created specifically for the Day Date. At 12 o’clock, the fully spelled day remains the complication that separates the collection from every other Rolex, paired with the date beneath the Cyclops lens at three. Inside, calibre 3255 provides approximately 70 hours of power reserve.

The 228239-0033 has everything associated with Rolex’s flagship model, but presents it differently. White gold makes the precious metal construction far less obvious, while the olive dial provides the distinction usually supplied by the case material. It is still every bit a Day Date, just without announcing it from across the room.

This 2021 Day-Day is presented in very good condition, showing light signs of wear and polishing. Offered as a complete set, including its 2021-dated warranty card, booklet, both tags and original Rolex box.
