The Tudor Black Bay Chrono 79310N takes the familiar strength of Tudor’s sports chronograph and gives it a far sharper visual identity. The yellow dial is not a small accent or seasonal detail; it changes the whole character of the watch, turning a practical chronograph into something far more memorable.

The black sub-counters, black tachymeter bezel and yellow dial are what give this reference its “Bumblebee” nickname. The contrast is bold, but the layout remains clean, with Tudor’s chronograph display, date at six o’clock and redesigned Snowflake hands keeping the watch legible rather than decorative.

At 39mm, this Black Bay Chrono wears differently from the larger earlier models. The case keeps the presence expected from a Tudor sports chronograph, but the smaller diameter and slimmer profile make the watch feel more controlled on the wrist. Paired with the stainless steel three-link bracelet and T-fit adjustment, it has the solidity of a tool watch without feeling overbuilt.

Inside sits Tudor’s Manufacture Calibre MT5813, a self-winding chronograph movement with column wheel construction, vertical clutch and a 70-hour power reserve. The 79310N works because it does not treat colour as a gimmick. It gives the Black Bay Chrono a clear identity of its own while keeping the movement, case and bracelet exactly where they need to be.
