Product Description

The Rolex Day-Date 40 reference 228239 combines the collection’s traditional design with the proportions and mechanical improvements introduced to the 40mm generation in 2015. Crafted entirely in 18ct white gold, this version features an olive green sunray dial, whose fine radial brushing creates subtle changes in tone as it catches the light. The fluted bezel and President bracelet retain two of the Day-Date’s most recognisable features, both closely associated with the collection since its early years. 

The Day-Date has displayed both the date and the day of the week written in full since its debut in 1956, with both indications changing instantaneously at midnight. Inside the 228239, Rolex’s calibre 3255 provides approximately 70 hours of power reserve, alongside an efficient Chronergy escapement and improved resistance to magnetic fields and shocks.

Presented in very good condition, this Day-Date shows only light signs of wear and polishing. Offered as a complete set, including its 2021-dated warranty card, booklet, both tags and original Rolex box.
