Historiques American 1921 36.5mm, 1100S/000G-H175, White Gold, 2026

The Vacheron Constantin Historiques 1100S/000G-H175 revives the reference 6073 of 1955 without trying to modernise what already worked. Its 36.5mm white gold case retains the original’s distinctive teardrop lugs and stepped bezel, giving the watch an architecture rarely seen in contemporary dress watches.

The silver toned dial uses faceted hour markers, dauphine hands and recessed small seconds to add depth within compact proportions. Through the sapphire caseback, the manually wound calibre 4400 AS carries the Hallmark of Geneva and provides approximately 65 hours of power reserve.

More than 70 years separate the 1100S from the watch that inspired it, yet remarkably little needed changing. The proportions, lugs and dial remain the reason the design works, making this a revival that preserves the character of the original rather than simply borrowing its name.
