The Santos de Cartier traces its origins to 1904, when Louis Cartier created a wristwatch for the pioneering aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont. The modern collection retains the distinctive square case, exposed screws and integrated bracelet that have become central to the Santos design. Reference WSSA0071 introduces a graduated blue dial, transitioning from a brighter centre to darker edges, while preserving the Roman numerals and railway minute track associated with Cartier.

Beyond its design, the modern Santos incorporates practical features that distinguish it from earlier generations. Cartier's QuickSwitch system allows the bracelet to be exchanged for a strap without tools, while SmartLink enables individual bracelet links to be removed or added without a screwdriver. These discreet mechanisms make the Santos notably adaptable without altering its established case and bracelet design.

This 2020 WSSA0071 is presented in very good condition, having undergone a professional polish since the photographs were taken. Offered as a complete set with additional blue leather strap, booklet and Cartier Box.
