Introduced in 2020, the Rolex Submariner Date 126610LN replaced the 116610LN with a revised case design and an updated movement. Although the diameter increased from 40mm to 41mm, slimmer, more tapered lugs and a slightly wider bracelet give the watch more balanced proportions than its predecessor. The changes move the design away from the broader case profile of the previous generation while retaining the Submariner's familiar appearance.
The reference also introduced Rolex's Calibre 3235 to the Submariner Date, extending the power reserve from approximately 48 to 70 hours. Its Chronergy escapement improves energy efficiency, while the established diving features remain, including the unidirectional Cerachrom bezel and Glidelock clasp, which allows the bracelet to be adjusted without tools.
